The phenomenal growth and development of Visnagar, a well-planned and unique educational town situated in North Gujarat, is stranger than fiction. Based on local talent and local resources, it is a peerless example of self-reliance and dedication.

Nootan Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal (NSVKM) Trust, the pioneer of education activities in the town, achieved the status of Sankalchand Patel University (SPU) in 2016 and created a path for value-based, diversified education in the North Gujarat region and beyond.

Today, the University successfully administrates educational institutions from primary school to postgraduate level, with programs in Technical, Medical, Paramedical and other Professional Courses. The University’s consistent efforts have earned it a reputation for excellence in the Indian education movement. Currently, SPU operates 13 institutes on a single integrated campus, offering courses across diverse faculties such as Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy, Dental, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Science, Commerce, Management, Computer Application, and Fashion Designing Management.

We are continually upgrading our campus with state-of-the-art infrastructure. As a result, SPU boasts a lush green campus equipped with modern amenities that create a stimulating environment for students across all levels—from undergraduate to Ph.D. programs. We are also enhancing infrastructure for the Medical College, General Hospital, Hostels, and Residential Quarters to benefit both students and faculty.

With society’s health at the core of our mission, we established a Designated Centre to fight the COVID-19 pandemic within Nootan General Hospital on the SPU campus. Additionally, we swiftly launched a Government of Gujarat approved and NABL & ICMR accredited molecular lab for COVID testing—a true boon for the people of North Gujarat during a critical time.

Another milestone is our optical fibre-based computer network with full Wi-Fi connectivity across campus, enabling a world-class learning experience in classrooms and laboratories. Recently, SPU was also allocated a Super Computer by the Government of Gujarat’s Science & Technology Department, empowering students and faculty to conduct advanced, large-scale research.
