The SPCE Library System uses KOHA (Version 22.05.19.000) an Open Source Automation Software. ILMS which interconnects all libraries to meet all the requirements of the students and faculties. The system utilizes a bar code scanner which records and automates all library transactions. The system caters for all modules Acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, serials, reports, patron, Administration, OPAC, etc. For users who desire to acquire library resources from different locations, the platform allows the users to join through the WEB OPAC and issue learning resources. The platform classifies and records all the resources and allows the users to search the library holdings by Author, Title, Subject, Keyword, Publisher, Accession number, Class number, ISBN/ISSN number, etc. As a way of keeping the students & faculties updated regarding all the updated resources, the library generates emailers periodically.

KOHA facilitates automated circulation (issue and return, renewal, and reservation) of the catalogued documents, their location and availability, information about the documents stocked in the library. Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is available on the Internet for inquiring about the status of the resources. As this is a web-based service, we can serve the user even from home in case of any query. KOHA complies with international standards, like MARC 21 for cataloguing, Z39.50 for copy cataloguing, UTF-8 (Unicode Transformation Format) for non-English catalogue data. In future this aid in adding other language fonts.
