Faculty Development Program

Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering, Visnagar organized a 5-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “AI Concepts and Practices for Civil Engineers” in association with the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh during 13th to 17th October, 2025. The resource persons were from reputed institutes such as IITs, NITs, NITTTR and included experienced industry professionals. The FDP featured 15 sessions over five days, encompassing a wide range of topics including AI for Intelligent Building, AI for Highway Disaster Management, AI for Concrete Compressive Strength Prediction, AI for Remote Sensing, and hands-on sessions on various Data Science tools. The training program witnessed enthusiastic participation of more than 250 participants from across the nation. Owing to the dedicated efforts of Dr. P. J. Patel Sir, Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering has been approved as a Remote Centre — the only one allocated across the country. A total of 30 faculty members from Civil and Computer Science backgrounds representing Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering, Swami Sachchidanand Polytechnic College, and Shri C. J. Patel College of Computer Studies successfully attended the training program. All registered participants were awarded Certificates for their active involvement. Patel, Principal – SPCE, for their continuous guidance and encouragement that contributed to the grand success of this event.
