SUPER COMPUTERS FOR ACADEMIC RESEARCH

At the heart of Sankalchand Patel University cyberinfrastructure are the robust, reliable supercomputer systems provided by Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat and GUJCOST. The supercomputer facility aims to provide capacity building among students and faculties with advanced technologies to perform high-end computations in the field of engineering, pharmacy, science and other academic programs to address and catalyze the research using modelling, simulation and data analysis. The facility will also help in promoting research by integrating leading-edge emerging technologies at the grass root level.

Objective

• Aimed to provide deft knowledge for pursuing research and development in the area of High-Performance Computing (HPC) and promote the use of HPC systems and parallel programming in several application domain areas.
• Creating employment opportunities for students/researchers through acquiring special information as per industry/market requirements.
• Disseminating advanced computing techniques useful in many research academic semester projects and Ph.D. thesis.
• Introduction of HPC and Deep Learning as a subject in the academic/engineering curriculum at UG/PG level.
• Providing a scope for development in the fields of interdisciplinary computational science and deep learning degree programs.
• Helping faculty members and researchers in conducting high-quality research projects as well as in developing effective funding proposals for High-Performance Computing(HPC) and Deep Learning (DL) research-based projects.
• Creating a scope for collaboration with national and international research labs.
